How Fiverr fees actually work

Fiverr's fee structure is the simplest of any major freelance platform: one flat rate, no tiers, no negotiation.

20% flat, on every order

Fiverr deducts 20% of the total order value automatically, this applies to the base gig price, any extras, and tips alike. There's no sliding scale that rewards repeat clients or high lifetime billings the way Upwork's structure does; a seller doing $50,000 a year pays the same 20% rate as someone doing their first $50 gig.

What the buyer pays separately

Fiverr also charges buyers a separate service fee (roughly 5.5%, plus a small fee on orders under $50), but that comes out of the buyer's payment, not yours, it doesn't reduce what you receive.

Payout timing

Funds typically clear 14 days after order completion, or 7 days for Top Rated Sellers, before you can withdraw via PayPal, bank transfer, or Payoneer.

Fee rates are kept current but can change without notice. Always confirm current rates in your Fiverr seller dashboard before making pricing decisions. This tool provides estimates only and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Fiverr.
