Venmo's Business profile rate is genuinely one of the cheapest processing options available, undercutting both PayPal and Stripe by a meaningful margin. Here's the full breakdown.
This applies to standard goods-and-services payments sent to a registered Business profile. On a $50 sale, that's about $1.05, compared to roughly $2.24 for the same transaction through PayPal's Goods & Services rate. It's worth noting this only applies to Business profile payments; personal transfers marked as "Friends & Family" don't carry this fee, but using them for actual commercial sales violates Venmo's terms and provides no buyer protection if something goes wrong.
Moving your Venmo balance to a linked bank account on the standard 1-3 business day schedule costs nothing.
If you need the money right away, instant transfer costs 1.75% of the transfer amount, capped at $25 regardless of how large the transfer is. For large balances, this cap makes instant transfer proportionally cheaper the more you move at once.
Fee rates are kept current but can change without notice. Venmo is currently only available in the United States. Always confirm current rates in your Venmo Business profile before making pricing decisions. This tool provides estimates only and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Venmo.
